First lady Michelle Obama (dressed as Catwoman!) greeted parents, trick-or-treaters and local school children at the north portico of the White House during a Halloween celebration on October 31, 2009 in Washington, DC. The Obamas are celebrating their first Halloween in the White House by inviting students and military families over for the holiday.

The President chose to come as...himself :)

POTUS, FLOTUS – as Cat Woman! – first grandma Marian Robinson and some 2,000 children and a few hundred adults are trick-or-treating at the White House for Halloween. Pool reports Obama dressed in casual slacks, checked shirt and a black sweater, while FLOTUS got into the spirit of things with an orange-and-black leopard-type top and cat ears, black eye shadow, her hair in a bun and lots of gold bracelets on one arm. POTUS deemed FLOTUS to be “a very nice-looking Cat Woman."

Michelle O. Covers Glamour Magazine's Annual Women's Issue...

Glamour is honoring First Lady Michelle Obama with a Special Recognition award for her commitment to mentoring young women. (She also appears on our cover--the first time in Glamour’s 70-year history that a First Lady has ever done so.) You simply cannot talk about 2009 without talking about Mrs. Obama: and no, I don’t mean her status as a style icon (richly deserved though it may be). Just nine months into her job, our nation’s first African-American First Lady has thrown open the doors of the White House to local children and families, determined to show young people that, in her words, “there’s no magic to being here”--that with hard work, any one of us can rise to greatness. And at Glamour, we love that she’s particularly set on expanding young women’s horizons: The First Lady is establishing mentor relationships between top women in the administration and girls in need in DC, and is encouraging women leaders around the country to do the same where they live. Love that.

Ikram Goldman, Michelle O's Unofficial Stylist On List of Most Powerful People in DC.

via HuffPo:
GQ released its list of the most powerful people in D.C., and we're most pleased to see Michelle Obama's unofficial stylist Ikram Goldman, the very woman charged with putting together all of the first lady's notable ensembles, has joined the likes of Rahm Emanuel and Ben Bernanke.

GQ explains their decision to make her #46: Right around the time of the North Carolina primary, Michelle Obama's appearance underwent a sudden change: Gone were the boxy corporate suits; in their place were colorful, body-hugging dresses and sweaters that women across the country were suddenly clamoring to buy. (The J.Crew cardigan she wore to meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown sold out online by 10 a.m. the same day.) The person behind Michelle's style upgrade is Goldman, owner of the boutique Ikram in Chicago. "She orchestrated the high-low thing. One day Michelle is wearing H&M and the next, Narciso Rodriguez," says Susan Swimmer, author of Michelle Obama: First Lady of Fashion and Style.

Social Secretary Desiree Rogers also made GQ's list at #40.

Michelle Obama Fave Sophie Theallet is a 2009 CFDA/Vogue Finalist

The best and brightest designers vie for the 2009 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund's grand prize: cash and invaluable advice from industry insiders. Designer Sophie Theallet, a favorite of first lady Michelle Obama is one of the finalist.

"I love when people ask me where I'm going for vacation," says Sophie Theallet. "I say, 'I'm going to Africa!' " In truth, the French-born, Brooklyn-based designer has been so busy with her label lately that she's stayed close to home. No matter. "When you love your job, it's better than a holiday!" She does take a trip of sorts with her spring collection of tribal prints and hot desert hues inspired by the continent. Theallet worked for Jean Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaïa, and had a line called Motu Tane before launching her own collection of beautifully made dresses three years ago.

Michelle O. and Rachel Zoe?

Well according to stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe, Rachel is obsessed with the first lady and would love to style her. What she said below:

Rachel Zoe said she would die to style Michelle Obama. The stylist to the stars -- whose signature catch-phrases "I die," "ba-nanas" and "OOC" have become part of the zeitgeist -- has pulled outfits and hand-picked accessories for the Hollywood elite and gotten A-listers red-carpet ready but she said styling the first lady would simply be ba-nanas, Zoe told omg.
"I'd love to dress Michelle Obama," she gushed, "because I'm obsessed with her."

Honestly speaking, I wouldn't mind seeing this pairing manifested. It would be interesting to see the final outcome.
